Underplanting with Evergreen Oak, Quercus Ilex

Not all of our planting work means being on a remote hillside. Sometimes we are involved with planting in formal city gardens.

Photographs by Liz Hanson

Photographs of the airlift

We were in the fortunate position to be able to have a professional photographer on site at Corehead to photograph the airlifting of materials to Lochan Burn. Liz Hanson kindly agreed to come down and take some photogrpahs to record the proceedings, ending with some great group photos of all the people involved in the day. We will try and put as many photos as possible on the website but in the meantime here is one of the group pics. A big thank you to Liz  for all her help, the photos are great! and good luck with the new book.

Stoke up the stove

Trial run of the stove at Darcy Cottage

It turned cold today up at Lochan Burn, even a few flakes of snow fell, so we thought we would light the stove for a trial run. Its still to be put in situ properly, but worked great!
